Hello, my name is Frances and this is my story

I’m so pleased that you’ve found me and my little home here in the middle of this seemingly endless sea that is the internet.

I am many things, but through my work as the Stellar Calm, I am a meditation and yoga nidra (NSDR) teacher as well as an educator and writer. I like to mix art and science to discover simple yet powerful paths toward greater emotional well-being.

It all started when I became a mother 6 years ago and discovered that my low patience threshold was now a huge liability. I’d always been able to manage it, but with the arrival of my children, my dysregulation became less and less controllable and more and more explosive. For the sake of my kiddos (and my own health), I knew something had to change.

I help women plagued by anger, resentment, and frustration make simple shifts that lead to profound well-being.

Yoga Butt

I love yoga and have been practicing since I was a teenager. At first I did it to achieve the “yoga butt” dream, but I soon realized that I loved the way yoga made me feel. I then discovered the spiritual and energetic aspects of yoga and quickly made my way over to yoga nidra.

Art is Life

I wanted to be an artist when I was little, but an art teacher in elementary school discouraged me (I know). Don’t worry, I had the last laugh: I ended up becoming an editor in the art world and have worked at world-class museums.

Mom Life

The best sound in the world? The giggles that emanate from tiny, round bellies. I am very fortunate to be the mom of two. It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done and, I’m certain, that I will ever do.
